I don't have kids, and my total experience with diapers was having to change my little sister's back in the days when you fastened the darn things with safety pins. (I wasn't really good at that and got chewed out repeatedly for sticking the little stinker. Hey, she kept wriggling! Maybe that's part of the reason I don't have kids.)
Still, I know that disposable diapers are a huge expense for families with infants, plus one of the biggest contributors to landfills. So when I saw this article in my local paper, I thought it was worth sharing.
All I can say is, we've come a long way from safety pins and plain cotton. (Bamboo diapers?)
